UTV Remote is designed to work without an account and without a backend server.
Information We Store
The app stores the following information locally on your device:
- Saved TV device names, brands, IP addresses, and local authorization tokens when required by the TV
- Recently connected device
- App preferences, such as haptic feedback and appearance mode
- Remove Ads purchase state
This information is stored locally on your device and is not sent to our servers.
Local Network Access
UTV Remote requests Local Network access so it can find and control Roku devices and compatible Samsung Smart TVs on the same Wi-Fi network. The app uses local network requests to communicate with your TV device.
Purchases
If you purchase Remove Ads, the transaction is processed by Apple through the App Store. UTV Remote uses StoreKit to check purchase status and restore purchases.
Advertising
UTV Remote may show ads unless Remove Ads has been purchased. If advertising SDKs are added, their data practices will be reflected in this policy and in the App Store privacy details.
Analytics and Crash Reporting
The app may use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and diagnostic information, such as app version, device model, operating system version, and crash details. This helps improve app stability.
The app may use Firebase Analytics to collect basic app interaction events if Analytics is enabled for this Firebase app. These events are used to understand app reliability and feature usage. UTV Remote does not use this data for third-party tracking.
